Main Features
Talon Helmet
The Talon bomb disposal helmet is an optimally balanced EOD helmet which is comfortable to wear. There is a built in forced air ventilation fan which ensures a constant strong flow of air to the operator. This fan also ensures that there is constant demisting on the visor. The fan is a radial vibration reduction design to minimise unnecessary noise feedback and vibration in the helmet. The demining helmet has an easy adjust once quick-release buckle as well as nape pad for an extra snug fit. Comes standard with Max Bright LED adjustable headlamp.

Hand Covers
The Talon has Hand Covers as standard, the outer is flame retardant and the inner has a removable aramid insert which provides fragmentation protection. They are attached to the end of the sleeves by means of the MOLLE attachment system and can be positioned to suit the operators requirements. The hand covers have an elasticated strap that is designed to cover the palm of the hand keeping the hand closely protected without hinder the dexterity of the fingers.
Spine Protector
The Talon Spine Protector covers the length of the spine from the top of the T-1 to the bottom of the L-5 vertebrae. It has unique articulation allowing for movement and flex of the spine whilst still providing protection in the event of an impact. The Spine Protector carries and independent certification of Level 2 against EN 1621-2 Standard. The Spine Protector secures to the HFS Talon Trousers by means of a Velcro attachment system.

Talon Blast Plate
The Sarkar Tactical Talon Blast Plates are made of a matrix of composite materials resulting in a lightweight high level of protection from a wide variety of fragments. The plates have been tested with .22 Cal, .30 Cal and & .50 Cal FSP’s (fragment simulation projectiles).
The Blast Plates are articulated to facilitate bending, kneeling and other movement.
The Blast Plates are affixed to the front of the Smock by means of our new Double Lock Mounting System which ensures that the plates stay in position during a blast. The plates are also dynamically shaped to deflect as much of the blast wave around the side of the operator in the suit reducing the reflected blast effect.
Groin Protector
The groin protector, located in the trouser carry bag is a lightweight separate protector for the abdomen, groin and inner thighs. designed for maximum comfort. The groin protector is worn underneath the smock. This area has the protection provided by the smock which comes down to mid-thigh and the trousers which are in front of the groin protection. The combination provides extremely high protection. The groin protector also has easy to use elasticated colour coded straps.
Talon Trousers
The Talon Trousers also incorporate our new proprietary front facing Double Skin Outer Shell technology, giving the trousers extra blast integrity. With the unique overlapping padded shin-guard and bottom of the thigh articulation, a high degree of bend and flex is a achievable with the legs whilst wearing the suit. The Trousers have an adjustable cummerbund and shoulder brace system which provides a wide range of fit. The Trousers have heavy duty solid brass zips up the back of the legs which end in emergence evacuation toggles allowing for a quick and efficient doffing system. Once the zips have been disengaged the emergency red toggles on the front of the trousers can be pulled and the trousers peel off the body immediately.
Colling Suit
The Cooling Suit is designed to maximise the operators effective time spent in the suit. It prevents the body from overheating and
operator fatigue as a result. It operates by mens of circulating chilled water through tubes around the entire body core including
head, neck, shoulders, arms torso front and back, upper thighs and lower legs. The water is chilled by mens of 2 litre water
container which is filled to a prescribed level and then frozen and kept ready for use. Then it is simply topped up with normal tap
water. This water is then circulated at a variable flow rate by mens of the pump controller.

The Cooling Suit is made from comfortable knitted fireretardant fabric called Kermel®. The cooling tubes are sown into the suit and are worn against the body.

Power Supply
The Talon has an upgraded Lithium Ion Power pack which provides 8800 mAH. This system is capable of running both the Helmet Electronics System and the Cooling Suit System for more than 2 hrs. The Battery Pack is located in a pouch on the right hand hip of the suit. It is incased in sealed custom aluminum box where there are chassis mounted plug points to connect power to both the Suit Controller and the Cooling Suit Pump Controller. The entire electronics package is now set up to be IP67 compliant.

Communications System
The Advanced Hardwire System is a duplex communications system linking the operator via the built in VOX microphone and headset in the 7DORQ Helmet to a command center, the system utilizes a 120m Slip- Ring Reel with EMC shielded cable for superior communication clarity. The 7DORQ Controller also accommodates a wide variety of wireless radio handsets that can also be utilised via a custom built patch cord.
Optional Equipment
The Base Station is housed in a robust aluminium case which also contains its own 12v DC power supply which can be charged directly from 110/220v or a 12v car charger cable.
The reel is custom built with a guide to facilitate easy deployment and retrieval. The built in Slip-Ring allows for comms to be maintained throughout the mission.
