Sam’s Story | Integrity and Strength

Sarkar Tactical has been established on the grounds of integrity, dedication, and strength, in reflection of Sam Sarkar, our Founder and CEO.

Sarkar Tactical had been intended to be a trade and retail business, however, when Sam began receiving products such as vests, helmets, and plates from alternative manufacturers, the majority were faulty or were not up to standard.

With Sam being Ex Royal Navy, he felt a moral obligation to his former colleagues, to those who serve in uniform every day. His opinion was simple, if he was not confident and comfortable in wearing the product, it was not fit for someone else to wear. Sarkar Tactical then became a defense equipment establishment, and the rest, they say, is history.

After a continuous process of learning, studying, and testing, Sam created his first vest in 2008. Then, after a period of high demand and growth, hard armor plates and helmets were soon to follow. Sarkar Tactical became one of only a handful of companies in the world who can fabricate and press their own ballistic shell from flat fabric.

Every product that is made reflects the pedigree and heritage of made in the UK, as we are proud to be in Glasgow. Our ethos is thousands of ones, instead of one of thousands. This means quality is never compromised over quantity. Sam understood that soldiers only get issued one set of kit. Thus it does not matter if the remaining nine hundred and ninety-nine items are perfect, if one item is faulty, it could prove fatal.
