Our Kevlar vests are ideal for extended wear. They offer full torso protection without restricting movement. Crafted with Cordura, they are also enhanced with MIL-Spec Velcro, thread, webbing and elastic. Bulletproof Ballistic Vests FAQs
Yes, a ballistic vest can stop a bullet, but its effectiveness depends on the vest’s NIJ specification and the type of bullet. Higher-rated vests, such as Level 3 and higher, can stop more powerful ammunition, but no vest is completely bulletproof against all types of bullets.
Yes, a bulletproof vest of NIJ Level 3 or above will stop an AR-15 bullet and prevent significant injury. However, the wearer may still experience bruising. Repeated hits can cause damage to the armor and limit its effectiveness, impacting the integrity of the ballistic plate.
Yes, a 50. Cal round will penetrate armor plating and the other strong materials which make up a standard bulletproof ballistic vest. There are some examples of specialized ballistic vests that can stop 50. Cal rounds, however, they’re impractical for use due to their significant weight and bulky size.
